Mur 2 la Honte

Tsunami

DDP is a Duet composed by Nyko Esterle and Iskander Kadour (Ripit and Elektrokami), as a reincarnation of KaosKoreKrewKillsKetaKids, the Breakcore Industrial Duet, born in 2000 and dead in 2003. During its short existence, this project terrorized dance floors in free parties and squatt parties. It also fighted alongside the cinema collective SKZ #6 (paris/berlin). After a short mortuary pause, the resurection appears to the protagonists in a way more Rock form of their sonicopsychotic delirium. The wish to get back to their prime love : from Iggy Pop's punk to the electro rock of Alan Vega.

With their hands stuck in the machines, they alternate on the mike, to switch between animal hysteria and guttural crooning. The rythmes are crossed to end in breaks pugilism, melting crust parts and glitchy beats. Cover that with HyPOPcryte loops and a stage play reffering to the lyrics, talking tragically as an actor who would believe too much in his character. The softly ironical, but radicaly cynical absurdity of those 2 performers stinks through their dialouge : "Let Me Drive my SUV, I don't care about Asthmatic Babies..." a pseudo political and ideological engagement at the opposite of right thought to exacerbe the nonsense of our society and the fakeness of the inter-human relationships. DDP adopts a MidFi way for producing, as an alteration that would still keep the prime intact origin of an errored information flux.

With the fellowship of Rko (Vidio.ataK), their live appearences gets along images about the evident parallelism between oriental nuclear divinities, the over consomtion of barrely edible products and the indisputable erotism of naked turkeys.
